have them yellow line the book with a marker Interesting observation. I just IMed that to my husband and he agrees. He always found that whatever he wrote down, he remembered even if he couldn't read it later.

You don't have to write it .. just line over the important parts with a yellow marker as you read ... works absolute wonders for the ADHD ... at least it does for me.

For me, it also worked if I typed out my notes in school, on the word-processor. Take the notes, read the notes, and type the notes. That way you are taking in the information more than once.
