Jack Osbourne In Rehab

Jack Osbourne, star of MTV's reality sitcom 'The Osbournes', is currently receiving treatment in a California rehab clinic.
It is not clear what Jack is being treated for at the Las Encinas Hospital, but the 17-year-old has previously made no secret of his love of boozy nights, and has been punished by his parents Ozzy and Sharon for smoking weed.
Photographs published today, April 28, show Ozzy and Sharon visiting Jack at the private clinic, which specialises in drug addiction and psychiatric care. Shortly after 'The Osbournes' began to take off, Jack suffered insomnia and depression, and was put on antidepressant drug Zoloft, according to reports.
A member of staff at Las Encinas Hospital said of the clinic: The treatment is tough, but we dont treat patients like prison inmates. It is relaxed, and there are 23 acres of grounds where they can walk around and socialise.
Speaking recently on the subject of disciplining his kids, Ozzy who is known for his hardcore drug excesses during the heyday of his band Black Sabbath, said: What right do I have to say anything when Ive come home in police cars and ambulances? On the whole, every kid screws up. Theyre not in the army.

He's been "punished by Ozzy and Sharon for smoking weed."
That's pretty funny.

Ozzy is allowed to make an example of himself.
I remember when I watched the show he was yelling at Jack saying "Look at me.... I can hardly speak.. Looook at meeee. You want this???" He was struggling to get to his feet and stuff. The guy is toast and he is showing his kid the effects of going down that road. I cant vouch for their way of life, but they are entertaining, for sure.

Everything this family does is for TV time. I don't really see too much hope for this kid, I'm sorry. He doesn't have much talent and he is both physically and personality unattractive. When the media is done with this family, they will toss them aside like yesterday's bread and they will be left to face the reality of their lives. I've said this on other threads, there are no FAMILY values on this show.

I have never watched the Osbournes. I never considered the idea of watching someones private life entertaining.

What right do I have to say anything when Ive come home in police cars and ambulances? On the whole, every kid screws up. Theyre not in the army.I understand what he's saying, but he's doing his kid a disservice by taking this attitude, I think. He should be using his experiences to teach this kid. At least they're seeking help for him.

Well, excuuuuse me... Give me directions to your house so I can beg for forgiveness.

but the 17-year-old has previously made no secret of his love of boozy nights, and has been punished by his parents Ozzy and Sharon for smoking weed. And for this he needs rehab? Just more proof that "rehab" is nothing more than a trendy, PC fad.

Well, excuuuuse me... Give me directions to your house so I can beg for forgiveness. Huh?! Forgiveness for what? You didn't offend me in anyway...
Anyway, here you go
7000 college drive, Portsmouth, VA 23703 Coming from DC, take 95s to 295e to 64 east (to norfolk) then take the 664e exit at Newport NEws ( you have to watch for this one, it's just past Mercury BLVD) then get off at the College drive exit (approx & miles across the James River)

Poor Jack.
His 15 minutes will be gonged out when the next ratings are announced and he'll be left to survey the confusion that is his life, absent the pseudo-celebrity status conferred by television cameras. Another adolescent with no moral compass, an addiction and a tragic pursuit of the empty pleasure principle.
A poster child for the results of '60s morality.
To: Porterville
I first read that... "throw a rock at him and maybe he'll BE OKAY"....it propably would improve things for the kid.

He has a bad case of YOOGLY. Looks a lot like Tony Soprano's kid. All he needs is detox and another set of parents.

Man, who would have ever thought that would have happened........????

I agree, he is certainly allowed to fall into the category of living example. And while I'm no big fan of Ozzy - show or music - one thing has become apparent to me. The man cherishes his wife. No matter how messed up he is as a result of the choices he's made, how he treats their mother is a very good example to his kids.
