TRENTON - A year after saying the state Supreme Court was full of political appointees, Gov. James E. McGreevey yesterday renominated Chief Justice Deborah Poritz for a new term.
"There is no better example of balanced, thoughtful judgment than that of Chief Justice Deborah Poritz," McGreevey said at a State House news conference.

Deborah Poritz, formerly RINO Governor Chrissie Whitman's Attorney General, was appointed by RINO Whitman to the New Jersey State Supreme Court as Chief Justice. Poritz joined RINO Whitman's numerous other left-wing liberal appointees making New Jersey's State Supreme Court the most liberal in the Nation. (RINO Whitman, a limousine liberal from the word go, currently holds a position in the Bush cabinet as the token northeastern liberal).
Poritz was responsible for a State Court Decision which violated the New Jersey State Constitution by allowing Torricelli to withdraw from the election for Senator when it looked like he was a sure loser so the New Jersey Dems could dredge up cadaverous Frank Lautenberg to run again and beat the up until then Republican Front Runner.
Poritz also sided with the Dems on redistricting in New Jersey. She also decided that the state can raise revenue through bond sales without legislative approval.
Poritz knew that by pandering to McGreevey, her reappointment was a shoo-in. The few real New Jersey Republicans in the legislature with any testicles wouldn't be able to overrule the Dems in the legislature the many RINOs like Gormley (rhymes with "wormly").
This is how things are done in the Garbage State and why the New Jersey State government is the most undemocratic, autocratic, and buearocratic tyranny in the entire United States.
. . . because, after the extralegal judicial nomination of a winner on the Democratic ticket for Senator in '02, McGreevey realized just how convenient a state Supreme Court full of political appointees could be.
Did you notice Ann Coulter's (Slander) descripion of the NJ Supreme Court? Writing before the Torricelli fiasco she said that it was the worst state court in the country--"against some stiff competition."
Don't feel too bad--what I have noticed is that today there is some stiff competition for my attention, among a lot of interesting--looking titles.
