WASHINGTON (AP) -- The White House tapped Pennsylvania Attorney General Mike Fisher for a federal appeals court judgeship Monday to fill a seat vacated by his first boss and early mentor.
The nomination for Fisher, 58, to the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, will be delivered to the U.S. Senate "soon," White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said Monday evening. It ends weeks of speculation that Fisher, a Republican, would leave his post as Pennsylvania's top law enforcement official before his term ends in January 2005.

I'm sure that the DemocRATS will filibuster this one too. What they can't achieve by fair dealing, they will bend the rules (read....Estrada) (read...Lautenberg).
Now, here in Pa., instead of a great guy like Fisher, we got a tax hiking Rendell.
Don't forget that in the 2000 election, some voting districts in downtown Philadelphia had 100% turnout! Do ya think that there might have been some voter fraud involved? Do ya?

Three Cheers for Mike!
Let the RATS oppose him. It will guarantee Bush Pennsylvania in 2004, and Mike will be nationally known to come back and run against Fat, I mean Fast Eddie.
