It's not just American history, pal. We're talking WORLD history in the making. With that said, I do enjoy Andy's weekly rants on 60 Minutes. I don't have his wit at age 28 and I certainly won't have it when I'm his age.

Andy Rooney is shocked and awed by the complaints he got!! After listening to his remarks quoted above, I sent a polite but scathing letter to the station [NBC] about him, and that , perhaps it was time for him to retire!!

The next Sunday was when he did his take on 'seeing both sides of things'! I knew then that he had received a lot of mail.

I like Andy. He's a national treasure as far as I'm concerned, and he's "liberal" in the old-school sort of way, not the groveling, I hate-myself-I-hate-America sort of way. He's pretty non-pc if you read his stuff, actually.

Well, tonight - Oct 12th - he's declaring the U.S. MADE A MISTAKE GOING INTO IRAQ WITHOUT THE UN'S APPROVAL AND SUPPORT.

He said we're "cocky" and our country is in trouble because of our attitude. We should'nt be so arrogant. We should let a higher authority rule the world, instead of taking things into our own hands.

He said the Iraq war is a mistake because our kids are DYING over there and Bush is too cock sure of himself.

I am FURIOUS! Andy Rooney is a Putz.

Andy Rooney had no problem with Clinton and Chirac waging war on Serbia 4 years ago (without UN approval). His current change-of-heart hypocrisy is due entirely to the lack of anything else with which to attack his hated Republicans.
