I just checked the Fox website and he is the last, so I guess they found the other pilot. That just leaves Scott Speicher, so my POW flag will stay up.

"Does this mean they found the missing pilot? I thought there were two missing."

Were you refering to Scott Speicher (missing since Gulf One) or the two F15 Strike Eagle pilots lost near Tikrit?
Those two F15 guys were reported missing for some time
but subsequently found and are KIA.

Side note: The Air Force fortunatly lost only 3 peopel in this war.

I thought there was one of the F15 pilots missing, but I guess he was found while I wasn't paying attention. Thanks!

Did they ever find the bodies of the two soldiers who fell into the river with full packs on and were swept under the water?

Yes. There are no more MIAs or Whereabouts and Duty Status Unknowns from this conflict.

Fox news has a complete list on their web site.

The "Army Hymn"

Oh, Lord of Hosts! Almighty King!
Behold the sacrifice we bring!
To every arm Thy strength impart,
Thy spirit shed through every heart.

Wake in our breasts the living fires,
The holy faith that warmed our sires;
Thy hand hath made our Nation free!
To die for her is serving thee.

Be Thou a pillar for to show
The midnight snare, the silent foe;
And when the Battle thunders loud,
Still guide us in its moving cloud.

God of all Nations! Sovereign Lord!
In Thy dread name we draw the sword,
We lift the Starry Flag on high,
That fills with light our stormy sky.

From Treason's rent, from murder's stain,
Guard Thou its folds till Peace shall reign,
Till fort and field, till shore and sea
Join our loud anthem: praise to thee!

(NOTE: There are several Army Hymns. I like the above lyrics the best.)

So sad about these two. I have a friend who used to fly with them when they were in Alaska.
My friend and his wife are really shaken up about the whole thing.. not that they didn't expect there to be casualties, just really sad.

I saw a poster today in a county building window made by a child.

It said....Home of the free, because of the brave.

Wish I had a picture of it.

God Bless the family of this fallen hero. I am so thankful to them that we have our freedom.

I know the casualty count is called "low," but every time I hear of even one of ours dying in that hell of a land, where the people are too lazy to work for freedom and too bitchy and high strung to truly want peace, I get really mad at the UN, democrats, and others called themselves "anti-war."

They were not anti-war, they were for a war with as many US casualties as possible. They pretended they wanted peace when in fact they just wanted to delay this further, which would have meant an even greater sacrifice on our part.

Does this mean there are no longer any MIAs from Operation Iraqi Freedom?

It surely does. However, unless I've missed something, there is still one POW/MIA left over from Dessert Storm that is still not accounted for, Navy Captain M. Scott Speicher.

Those Marine Seebees didn't fall into the river. Their goal was the enter and wade across the river to achieve an objective.

From what I read, due to the weight of their equipment, they couldn't keep afloat and drowned.

Yes their bodies were recovered.

They were not SeaBees, they were Marines. SeaBees are in the Navy. They were Cpl. Evan James and Sgt. Brad Korthaus of Charlie Co, 6th Battalion, 4th FSSG, a reserve unit out of Illinois.

That just leaves Scott Speicher, so my POW flag will stay up.

We have a black and yellow ribbon tied on our tree. We'll leave the black one up until we hear about Scott (God willing he will be rescued). The yellow ones will stay up until things settle down for our troops.

A goodnight BUMP for Sgt. Edward John Anguiano and his family.

FRegards, Vets

the story of the 507th is going to be a hard one.....high casualties but also the joyious return of those thought lost....

on another note , has Shawn Hannity come up with a scholarhsip program yet, so we can insure that the children of our lost sons and dtrs are taken care of?

I think we need to do something for those who don't have wives or children as well.....
