What evidence could the US possibly have that the Brazilians don't have that would lead them to that conclusion?

Maybe they did a blood culture. Do we have any reports at all, let alone firm reports, that the Brazilian pathologist found bacillus anthracis in this guy's body? From what I've seen, we could very well be talking about a presumptive diagnosis here, and those are far from reliable. Ever been to two different doctors or two different dentists about the same problem? My general experience is that medical diagnosis is about as reliable as stock-market analysis.
