" Didn't the libs have a point about his comments being over the top?" In a word, "no". They, true to form, made a mountain out of the proverbial molehill. Keep in mind that these are the same people who will fall at the feet in adoration of a serial rapist and call him a great leader, will heap praises on the supporters of the wholesale slaughter of innocents, and who are diligent slavemasters of the political plantation where any black person who dares to cross over to the "dark side" is suddenly the object of scorn and ridicule, and whose political success depends on keeping blacks as a victimized underclass. It is a little bit hard to take them seriously when they set out to destroy the career of a man who mindlessly says something which might be misconstrued by the overly sensitive and the professional offendees. To say they are disingenuius and hypocritical is a gross understatement.

Sorry, I think Hannity is great.

"I see we're never too far away from each in FR" Always seems that way, huh? Hehehe... Great minds think alike.

SMITH288'S TAG LINE SAYS: "(Thats right, Christianity is exclusive, you have to love animals to be in PETA, is that exclusive?)"
I don't look at Christianity as "exclusive" at all. To me, it is exactly the opposite!
Jesus Christ died for ALL people! It is OUR OWN CHOICE as to whether we ACCEPT or REJECT Him!
I heard a story (I don't know if it is true) about a death row inmate who was given a pardon but HE CHOSE to REFUSE to ACCEPT the pardon. The case supposedly went to the U. S. Supreme Court, on the idea that the guy should be granted the pardon and his life spared.
The USSC supposedly said that A PARDON MUST BE ACCEPTED---BY THE PERSON BEING PARDONED---for it to be in effect and that the guy COULD NOT BE FORCED TO ACCEPT THE PARDON!
The guy got his wish and was executed as sentenced.
As I said before: Jesus Christ died for ALL people! It is OUR OWN CHOICE as to whether we ACCEPT or REJECT Him!

My reply #104 should have been a private reply.

>It is so rude and disrespectful. I heard him say HEY, to General Haig one night and I just cringed.
Maybe this is just a regional/generational type thing, i don't know, but i've never had a problem with the word hey and am surprised to read that someone would consider it to be rude. I certainly don't think that Hannity means it in a rude or disrespectful way. It's just his natural way of talking.

I don't know why everyone is so tough on Colmes. He's the balanced in fair an balanced. He's innocuous, which is what Fox wanted in its liberals, I guess. It could be worse, they could have gotten Franken.

"The look on his eyes..."
"I grew up in a farm..." (TV broadcaster, a few days ago) What's going in here? (Oops, "going on").
More evidence of dumbed-down America?
Grew up IN a farm? The "look ON his eyes"?

I was brought up that "hey" is disrespectful; any time I said it, my father said "hey is for horses." I grew up in Long Island.

Colmes points are all wrong of course but why I can't listen to him is his constant interruptions where he tries to force the issue to be framed as he wants.
That's OK in his initial question/comment but then let the guests respond without steping all over them.
Colmes is one of the worst interrupters.

Juan Williams too. Juan Williams is an interesting guy. He just needs people around to laugh at him when he starts going too far. Britt does this well.

True, he interrupts, but he's a liberal, they can't help themselves. The liberals know if the conservative gets to answer the question fully, they can't spin it.

I completely adore Brian Kilmeade and have since he jumped the Toon on the streets of NYC the day after 9/11 shouting "don't you feel responsible for this?". Love him.

I'd heard the "hey is for horses" quip too when i was growing up but i think the acceptance of the word, in informal speech at least, has changed over the years in many parts of the country (i'm from Florida btw). Basically my general attitude is to simply let language that bothers me slide by with a shrug as long as i sense that the speaker didn't say it with any negative intent behind it. And i think that's the case with Hannity and his heys (lol, almost sounds like a name for a band).

I heard also that Shepard Smith was somehow involved. What ever happened to the left-wing plan to pit Al Franken against Rush on talk radio. He was supposed to be the Great Liberal Hope to replace Donahue.
