April 28, 2003 -- Authorities had located the remains of eight-months pregnant Laci Peterson - possibly wrapped in plastic and weighted down - on the ocean floor weeks before she and her baby washed up on shore, but a tanker apparently dislodged them before they could be recovered. "The waves came up, and we couldn't go down [in time]. I can't tell you the frustration we felt," Modesto, Calif., Police Chief Roy Wasden told the Oakland Tribune.

This is not possible...Last night there were untold "experts" here on FR saying this was not possible. Some were very verbal in their pooh poohing of this report. One has to wonder if these same so called "experts" will surface here today.

Any weights or anchors to weight down the
body should still be at this location, but
could
be buried a foot or two under the silt. Conventional
sonar should see such buried objects.
