Will all due respect, I think you missed the point of the article.

Canadian conservatives are taking our own government to task...not excusing them. We are fighting to get rid of the Liberals just like you fought to get rid of the Clintons.

You said:
And, for sure, the election of Bill Clinton in America DOES NOT excuse the behavior of Canada. Canada is responible for their elected officials.

We don't want you to "excuse Canada". Our government sucks, and the people who elected them need to feel your anger.

But many thousands of Canadians have never voted Liberal...and hundreds of us are dedicated conservative activists.

We need our American conservative cousins to help us defeat the Liberals, not to take potshots at us.

We are on the same side.

There are many people on this site who see that conservative Canadians are fighting for the same things they are, and they express their support for us...like we did for those of you who didn't vote for Bill Clinton.

But, for those people who choose to ignore the good things we are trying to do, and beat us up because of where we happened to be born...well, that attitude is no better than the attitude of our anti-American Liberal government, imo.

"With all due respect back at at you", I will repeat my point. I have heard it so many times that "because America elected Clinton, we must *excuse* the back-stabbing, anti-American behavior coming out of Canada. And that is just not true.

"We need our American conservative cousins to help us defeat the Liberals, not to take potshots at us."

Please, we are not cousins. We are not brothers, We are not "family". We are neighbors. That "smary" attempt to manipulate really offends me! And I am taking potshots at Canada. If you decide to take that personally, that is your choice.

"We are on the same side."

There are many *sides*, not just two. It's more complex than that. I am an American, and I look at what is in America's interest. And right now, Canada is back-stabbing and betraying America -- and quite franky, just because there are good, decent people in Canada -- they do not mitigate the actions of Canada. Your and other people's posts come across to me as attempts to manipulate and to pressure Americans into giving Canada a "pass" on Her unacceptable behaviors. A "pass", btw, that I do not see you arguing for -- for France or Germany or Belgium.

Why should Canada get a "pass" and not every other country that has betrayed us?

"But, for those people who choose to ignore the good things we are trying to do, and beat us up because of where we happened to be born...well, that attitude is no better than the attitude of our anti-American Liberal government, imo."

I"ll ask you again -- why should Canada be *special*? Why shouldn't Canada take responsiblity for Herself? Why aren't you working with us to let Canada know that Her behavior is not ok? Why are you not working with us to let Canada know that trashing America will result in consequences?
