Well, that was kind of my impression too - not a lot a flaming liberal can do with an articulate, conservative black man who's winning a debate (what's he gonna do, call the guy the names that are usually reserved for conservative white men?) - and you could just see the frustration on his face.

Alan who is fairly reasonable for a liberal married Monica Crowley's sister recently. If she looks anything like Monica then Alan must have something going for him.

Flame away, but American sparkling wine is not champagne. The law of reality remains despite your wishes. Renaming American sparkling wine as champagne will not alter the fact that it is not, in fact, champagne. California sparkling wine is tasty, but it's just not the real stuff. Actually, Champagne is sparkling wine, whether it comes from America or frog-land.
I'm very familiar with the whole rap on the trademark issue, and personally, I don't care what its called, as long as it isn't French.

I don't know much about champagne, but as I understand it, in order for the drink to legitimately be called "champagne" it has to come from Champagne, France.

Alan ought to offer Al the chance sit in for a few days so he can take a vacation and let Hannity have a little fun with Ol' Al Frankin.
There are so many libs willing to expose themselves for the "cause" right now.
It is a beautiful thing is it not?

Better add that crazed Janeane Garofalo to your list. She and logic parted company a long time ago. Furthermore, like Susan Sarandon, her learning curve is so long and low that the aging process is not going to improve her reasoning ability.

I think that Hannity said that Franken called to apologize, but got so upset again while discussing the cause of the original event that he started yelling at him all over again while he was theoretically calling to "apologize". The guy has absolutely lost it. Franken is such an un-funny has-been that the only thing about him clinging to the spotlight is his ego! In fact, I wonder if "crazy liberal" is his ultimate "act" and guaranteed way to get attention. Putting conservatives down is the only thing he has done with any "creativity" lately. His days of real originality may be dead and buried and this is his swan song.

He was a writer with another guy, Davis?, who was his straight man onstage but actually a better writer behind the scenes than Franken. The most honest thing he ever did was naming the "Me Decade" the "Al Franken Decade". Such an egomaniac!

Under the TRIPS agreement, any sparkling wine that was in production and using the descriptor "champagne" pre-1994 (or so) can continue to use the Geographic Descriptor "phampagne", but post 1994 sparkling wines cannot.

Hannity looks so much like my dad that it's uncanny. Lucky you! I think Sean Hannity is gorgeous!
