Who the heck are Women in Black

I live within the confines of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, VA, Walter Sullivan Bishop. Need I say more??? OK, I will. He is the Bishop President of Pax Christi USA which has aligned itself with ANSWER and other leftwing "peace" organisations. He promotes a Pledge of Resistance to the War, the wearing of black ribbons, nonviolent civil disobedience and, oh yes, he supports the troops and their families (how is not clear to me at this time).

When freeping a "peace" march, I have had a priest, wearing a black ribbon with an American flag pin, give a rather dramatic thumbs down to my signs that said, "God bless our sons, our daughters, our TROOPS, and our president George W. Bush", "Evil triumphs when good men do nothing", and "St. Michael the Archangel defend them in battle".

The last time my 19 yr. old Marine was home (he is stationed in Georgia), we had a visiting priest empty a few pews at the 8:30 am Mass by allowing a "peace" activist to speak. My son, husband and I went to the 11:00 am Mass and Father did the dirty work himself, denigrating my son's Commander in Chief and preaching how unjust the War in Iraq would be.

I was ready to walk out but waited to see what my son would do. He carried the Offertory gifts up to the altar with his head high and shoulders back. When he reached the altar steps he gave a deep, reverent bow to the Tabernacle (something I hadn't seen the Priest do). I was so touched, my anger melted away at that moment and I thanked God for giving me such a decent, honest and noble son, for giving all of us this generation of selfless young men and women. They may be young, but they know more about truth, good and evil, faith and charity than a cathedral full of theologians.
