The whole crowd is forming up a procession to march down to the White House, to stand with heads bowed in contrition while Martin Sheen, as spokesman, begs forgiveness and humbly apologizes to the real President, George W. Bush, for misunderestimating the Administration's strategery. Broken glass shall be strewn on the ground before the White House for those who choose to further express their sorrow, by allowing them to crawl along the path, on unprotected elbows and knees.
That rustling sound you hear is pigs taking flight.

These people don't realize that the AMERICAN people don't want to support their views. Which is our right to do. They can claim it's a conspiracy all they want, but they opened their mouths to this and now they suffer the consequences.

>>...But with the war in its waning hours, all is quiet on the western coast -- leading conservatives to suggest that Garofalo and her fellow travelers are in full retreat from a public backlash and feeling chastened by a swift American victory...<<
They're not chastened at all.
They're snakes who've slithered back into their holes for awhile. After a time they'll be back.
You'll remember that the libs did this back on September 11, 2001.
After a time, they came slithering out of their holes to spew their venom once again.

"There was a well-orchestrated campaign to do that through hate radio and Web sites and voices that sprang from the (Bush) administration and said 'take your choice, you're with us or with the terrorists,"' he said."
Liar.

I know, and you know, that the "liberal" left in this country is not humiliated one whit. This is merely an unexpected detour in their march to dismantle the existing structure of the United States, using every available means at their disposal. So far, depending on Islamic militancy as a tool to expose the military and diplomatic weakness of the Bush Administration has proved to be somewhat unsatisfactory, so they will have to sharpen their knives and wits to enter into another aspect of the reconstruction of Iraq, in which it could possibly be demonstrated that George W. Bush is in over his head.
Islamic fundamentalism is a much different beast than the old Soviet model of Communism, however, and they may never be able to use the coming interactions to their advantage.

We aren't supposed to show off and gloat, doncha know.
But DAYUM, it feels good.

"Garofalo, working hard on her upcoming ABC sitcom, did not respond to interview requests for this story. But she told the Washington Post last week that her anti-war stance had been a "positive" experience that had helped her career"Considering the fact that we conservatives vastly outnumber the wingnuts in this country, we may safely assume that Garafolo's statement is about as truthful as her promise to crawl on broken glass up the steps of Capital Hill and apologize to the president.
It doesn't matter how good Garafolo's sitcom might be, I'll never watch it. It's impossible to suspend disbelief and enjoy a show when you know the ACTOR is a moron and total lunatic.
They're not backing down. They're just busy trying to figure out what went wrong with their last propaganda blitz, tune the 'message' and impliment the repackaged product at the next opportunity...the '04 presidential election, if nothing else.

ABC dropped Drew Carey to make room for Janeane Garofalo? They would have done better putting Chris Rock on.

"Before this I was a moderately well-known character actress," she told the paper. "Now, I'm almost famous."
Wrong on both counts, self-centered b!tch.

"These people don't realize that the AMERICAN people don't want to support their views. Which is our right to do."Of course not. They're too busy accusing the American entertainment consumer of oppressing them, because THEY have freedom of speech, and WE should just shut up, listen and do what they say.

It must be nice to put yourself out on the world stage when you think that everything is going your way, then when you fall flat on your face, send your publicist out to say "no comment." Yep, that's our brave dissenters, alright!

From the third stanza of the Star-Spangled Banner:
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?

"ABC dropped Drew Carey to make room for Janeane Garofalo?"I'm betting it's gonna bomb. If enough Americans have the moral turpitude not to watch even one episode, not even out of morbid curiosity, it's guaranteed to bomb.
Heh heh. The left will never learn.

"Before this I was a moderately well-known character actress," she told the paper. "Now, I'm almost famous." After the Beer Hall Putsch Adolf Hitler was almost famous. In the 1930's he became even more famous, or infamous, depending on one's viewpoint. That doesn't mean it's a good thing.
