But would we necessarily know about it?

You are right.

If by chance he rented a boat and the police learned of this it is possible we don't know.

The police have been pretty tight lipped on things.

There are no little boat rental stands on the bay. Much too dangerous. Boats of substantial size and expense are the only suitable vessels for the Bay. Too expensive to let a preppy boy go out and wreck, they would let him charter one though. Comes with an operator/witness.

Am I the ONLY person that seems upset about MPD not retriving this body.

If MPD would have announced publicly that Laci's whereabouts have been confirmed, and retrieved, Scott would have been long gone with that heads-up, GPS or no GPS he would have been adios. MPD could already have the drum and cement weights in their custody. So far all of their announcements have been a supprise to even the Media....

I missed yesterday's thread..

I went fishing overnight last night- came back with some some nice fish today. The whole time on the water, under the stars, I kept thinking about how Scott could have murdered his wife in a boat in the darkness of the night.

He didn't dispose of her at night in Berkley Bay, it's too dangerous with no lights. He waited for dawn to break, he didn't not get in the frigid water either. He just rolled her off the side of the boat wrapped in a tight weighted package.

Scott's truck
It looks like it could be Scott's truck, I don't have the picture of Scott's truck handy to be able to tell if there is a cab area in the back of his truck.

>>do snotts parents have a boat that he could have borrowed ?<<

It wouldn't surprise me if they did have a boat as they seem fairly well to do and seemed to like outdoor activities when Scott was younger. But they live in San Diego which is quite some distance from Modesto, so I don't think that would work.

IIRC his first truck (not the white one) was shown in a picture with the little boat. Again, IIRC that truck was a 4 door with extra cab space.

Got rid of the damned fish though.

the overhead design in that vehicle looks like a Chevy late 90's truck. Not sure if Ford made that kind of interior too... On second thought, they did. It maybe be SP's truck they have impound. That design, far as I know, is on very newer design trucks of Ford.

Modesto Police Deny They Found Laci Peterson's Body Weeks Ago But Were Unable To Retrieve It
Source: kcbs
Publication date: 2003-04-28

(KCBS) - Modesto Police are denying a published report saying investigators found Laci Peterson's body weeks before it washed ashore. The Oakland Tribune reported Sunday morning that searchers using sonar found the body inside a shipping channel in mid-March, but a tanker dislodged the sunken corpse before they could retrieve it. Modesto Police told KCBS that the report is false.

Laci Peterson's husband, Scott Peterson, told police he went fishing in San Francisco Bay on Christmas Eve, the day Laci disappeared. Scott Peterson is facing double murder charges in the case. The prosecution plans to seek the death penalty.
