[history]
It was the home where they planned to raise a family. Now the front lawn is a shrine, where people by the thousands have come to mourn the woman who lived there. It is Scott and Laci Peterson's house at 523 Covena Ave. in Modesto. It is not for sale, but the real estate questions already are flying: Is Scott Peterson allowed to sell it? What is it worth and what could it sell for?

Scott and Amber must have really been into having their pictures taken. My gosh, everytime I look, there's another different picture,of the two of them. LOL

The only excuse could be that they DO have some VERY FACTUAL evidence against SP that ties him to the murder. They do realize that without the head being weighed down by the body it is going to "drift" with every boat, passing tide, etc... and forget about the hypoid bone exam. It is the divers.. they are tightly regulated by underwriters and peer pressure. There is almost no more dangerous place for a diver than a shallow water pass with it's liquid bottom and strong shallow current. The shallow water exposes the diver to wave action as well as current and they simply can't maneuver, and can be swallowed into the moving bottom which can hold them under until it shifts again.
The same applies for anything else on that bottom(and bottom is a misnomer) B/C sometimes you can be ten feet underground before you would feel a solid resistance. Thats how it is on both banks of the channel, in fact halted ship traffic for a few days sometimes closes the channel completely. That's why dredges must constantly operate.
What I simply do not understand is why didn't LE release the info about lacy being found but not exactly where, and set up a stake out to catch the perp when he/she showed to retrieve the remains,RED HANDED. I mean they had all this electronic surveillance on SP. Maybe they were afraid there STAR witness might show instead..no no Th that's right she was under surveillance in Florida. All this surveilllance and they can't stake out Laci and Connor and they can't move. Sorry, I Can't help but question things like this when I see them and with MPD I see so many so often.....It is not a lot of fun but I feel compelled to make it better if I am able
Let's see where we stand: 7 unsolved murdered women in last 2 years...4 with bodies 3 w/o bodies...1 arrest....No convictions and no trials expected for 3 1/2 years(using mouser as a guage)....Less MPD 60% Appeal Overturn Rate at the Federal level( no wonder there are almost never executions in Ca).....Equals much concern as to whether justice will be achieved in the Laci and Connor Murder......;-0).....(Ray wonders if those figures concern anyone else or if is it just him over reacting???)

.(Ray wonders if those figures concern anyone else or if is it just him over reacting???) IMHO, the MPD is motivated because of those figures, now more than ever, not to screw up this case. I'm amazed at how tight-lipped they have been.
To: alexandria
I am not sure of how to feel about this other than it is coming from two sources, TriValley News, and Oakland Tribune, and MPD is really not commenting, which is rightly so. That said, if so, yes, why did they really wait? Inexperience in water/ocean retrieval of a possible body? Did the waves, tides, and equipment prevent quick recovery of Laci? Only MPD knows....

I know, in just a month. Scotty seems so happy in all of them, considering he is cheating on an unsuspecting pregnant wife.

before they could retrieve the bodies, they believe a heavily laden tanker passed over or near the burial spot, churning up the channel's bottom and dislodging the sunken corpses. How about this being a possibility as to why Laci's body was dismembered?
I was thinking the exact same thing, either the rough water or even worse, a motor blade. My uncle is a volunteer fireman in the Florida Keys, and people who scuba-dive without flagging the area have been known to lose their heads from time to time.

Especially on the "Equals much concern as to whether justice will be achieved in the Laci and Connor Murder" part!

Was the anchor approximately where they think the body was?
P.S. I had a chocolate point Siamese for 15 years. When he "passed away", the Sandlapper, little Sandlapper and I cried all day.

Oh my gosh, that is sad. I have 4 cats and haven't lost any yet. The thought of it makes me teary. That Scott would treat Laci's beloved cat that way makes me dislike the SOB all the more.

MM, yes, Doris is great, I've enjoyed so many of her movies. It must be her autobio that I read that story in too, about the dog she and her mother rescued.
And yes, Sandy, character counts, doesn't it? Over and over and over again.

That pic in 106 just creeps me out, I can't even tell you how much.

I had a seal point Siamese, my dear companion for so many years. She lived to be nearly 19, and she was with us for all but the first 3 months of her life. I had to prepare myself for ages when she got old, knowing that she was leaving me someday.
Amazing animals, Siamese cats.

Yes, character counts, or should count!
Gotta go now--see ya'll later!

Well, I remember the weather when they called it off. It was very ugly. Not sure where you live... I also remember how the weather was that day, it was my birthday on Friday the 14th of march, one day after this. It rained some in the AM and once very hard for about 20 min. in the afternoon. I belive the next day was OK. I live in Modesto but work about 30 min. to the south.
To: texasbluebell
I can't even tell you how muchYou don't have to, I feel the same way. Scott's evil, sinister grin, and Amber's very happy smile. They are together having a great time, and Laci and Connor only have weeks to live.
