Do most people know the term "Mother-of-all----(whatever)?
From
ABC News:
Bomb Away
Air Force Tests 'Mother of all Bombs'The Associated Press W A S H I N G T O N, March 11 In a flashy debut for its biggest non-nuclear bomb, the Air Force today dropped a 21,000-pound behemoth onto a test range in Florida, hoping the test would rattle nerves in Iraq as well.
The bomb test was declared a success. Neither Gen. Richard Myers, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, nor Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld would say whether the 21,000-pound Air Force bomb that was tested for the first time would be used in a war against Iraq.
It is officially designated the Massive Ordnance Air Blast, or MOAB, although it has come to be called unofficially the Mother of All Bombs, a rough allusion to Saddam Hussein's claim before the 1991 Gulf War that that conflict would be the "mother of all battles..."
I am NOT sure how widespread the public awareness of this term may be, which is one of the reasons that I posted this thread. :o)
Ted seems to think that explaining our "M.O.A.B. connection" would draw attention to our rally...
The Leadership Institute cautions, however, that folks like US (who are news hounds and political junkies, etc.) are not "normal" - and that we should tailor our message so that the "average American" understands what we are attempting to communicate, not just our fellow FReepers.

Thanks for the ping :)
Personally, I don't like the "mother of all bombs". I think it will be misunderstood.
"The mother of all barbeques" sounds better. My daughter's bridal shower is the 24th, so I can't promise to be able to attend. I am up way too early...

I would suggest FR keep all this kind of stuff through the mail as to NOT be a source of methods for other people such as DU! As it is, if you just rattle off Email to just anybody who are memebers here at FR without seeing what they post, you could be again giving valuable information to the wrong side.
Again, what we have going for us are:
#1 Conservatives don't want to get violent like the other side and would only at most defend ourselves.
#2 We have the ability to take their arguments and tear a hole in them since there is nothing to back their ideas. Often their methods are less than wonderful as well.
In CA a great example of this is how enviormentalists in CA decided by law that we must change our gas.
So it ends up the new formulation will not only keep us paying about 20cents higher than the rest of the nation, but is also making toxic our water supply by what gets into the sewers from the new gas... They are just stupid bastards! But here in CA so many are connected to the government for work, that these Deocrats are THEIR bastards, so shy of be-heading voters, these employees of the governments and unions will just keep voting the straight Democrat ticket, thereby forcing a horrible future for California.

I like Exit148's suggestion...Mother Of All Bashes. It hints at something much rowdier than a backyard barbeque.
The Dixie Chicks have been on the receiving end of the Mother Of All Backlashes, but I don't guess that one fits your theme. lol
