In many circles - professional, social, political - it's considered perfectly correct to simply use the last name when referring to even the most distinguished people.

Exactly. For variety's sake, you have to alternate and mix up what you call people you speak of frequently. It would sound silly to constantly say President Bush, this, President Bush that. Heck, those people on F&F give the president more respect than a lot of people on FR.

there is a protocol and calling the President of the Unite States by his last name is wrong, and disrespectful, and done on purpose becasue of either ignorance or bias by this clown...
