Can you post a link to that [Janeane Garofolo] quote? Gotcha covered. From the now-defunct Buzz magazine, circa 1993:

As I understand Brian also intervened into the dust up when Al Franken started to scream at Alan Colmes at the dinner.
They said that Brian literally put his hands on Al Franken during the confrontation.
My suggestion is that Brian use disinfectent ASAP.

On one side it said "I watch CNN. Why is it so dark in here?" and on the other side it said: "I read the New York Times. I get my news from anonymous, low-level sources."

I missed this on Fox & Friends - drat! I had to leave for work at 7:15 a.m. Perchance, did anyone tape the F&F segment today? The Fox cameraman filmed our whole presentation of the awards and announcement of the winners. I wish they had run some of that footage.

The Free Republic Network has been contacted by Fox and Friends to see about having someone on the show tomorrow to discuss the Garofolo Awards. I freepmailed Kristinn, but haven't heard back yet. If someone from the DC Chapter leadership would like to freepmail me their phone number, I'll see that the information is passed along.
They need to hear back by about noon, so there's a time fuse on this...
To: Interesting Times
Wonderful news! Kristinn has responded to you. Our cell phone numbers are listed on the contact page of the DC Chapter website if you need to reach us quickly.
Thank you for the heads up.

Fred Durst (believe it or not) was in the Navy
and just a couple of others

The best Clintons are come out quickly with no fuss and leave none of themselves behind, and are also small enough to be disposed of quickly with one flush. If it goes down with one flush that's not a Clinton. Probably just a Daschle or a Gephardt. Although Daschle's tend to be floaters so even the small ones will come back again and again.

Jumping into the thread quite late...
Very funny, I like that.
A bit premature, don't you think? I mean, until our troops are home (at least, as many of them as we want home) and Iraq is peaceful and pro-American, or at least not anti-American, then we don't know yet, do we?
The war went great - our boys and girls in uniform ROCK!!!
But, are we safer now, or not? Will we be, 5 years from now, or not? Isn't it a bit early to call it a rousing success? What if Iraq tries to go theocratic, like Iran? Are we going to use troops to prevent that, and if so, how?
To: kristinn
Comedienne-turned-antiwar activist Janeane Garofalo...A wise career change, since she was never very funny.
