MILWAUKEE -- The siblings of an American missionary slain Dec. 30 in Yemen don't want the accused killer executed, though the prosecutor is seeking the death penalty.
"We're not going to lie awake at night waiting for vengeance and waiting for his death," Jerome Gariety Jr. said of himself and his two surviving sisters in an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

"I certainly don't want to see his death, but I do want him incarcerated for the rest of his life so he can't injure anyone else."
The naive fool doesn't see the inherent flaw in this sentence.

"According to one widely accepted Muslim tradition, the Prophet Muhammad decreed death, not for missionaries as such but for any Muslim who converts to another religion."
Islam is a very evil religion at best. I keep wondering why Muslims can not see this themselves without anyone telling them. Killing those who do not believe, is not the way of the True God of this Universe. Jesus in his love, gave his own life to save us. Mohammed has given us nothing at all, and he lies buried in a grave awaiting the coming of Jesus and the Judgement.

I certainly want him to die, but I think we should respect the wishes of the family. I have advised anti-death penalty weenies to carry the following in their wallet: I am against the death penalty. If I am brutally murdered, I do not want my murderer put to death.
I would respect that position. I would not respect his position, however, on cases that did not involve his family.
