LBJ and before him Kennedy. I wasn't old enough to vote, but I remember crying when Kennedy beat Nixon in 1960.
I guess I was politically precocious!

Ya know Ohio, I've had this wonderful eeeeenternet for years now, and tonight is the first night I've had problems like this. I've had as many as 6 different ads that sorta have taken over this computer at one time. Brad doesn't need to be seeing this!
I just called our new gag, cough, ick, wonderful new dsl server...she sent me to cnet's web site to download any of their free sw for taking care of this.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I'm so mad I could spit.
Carry on......

You could go in and turn off the cookie acceptance. This should cut down on the pop-ups about ... things.

If I recall, Ray Charles sings America the Beautiful. Why didn't he sing it? Seems like the song he "dedicated to the president" was sort of an insult. Am I just getting paranoid? (Be careful how you answer in case I get MORE paranoid.)

Well, I'm getting better at being me. Maybe that's what it means. No identity crisis here. lol
To: I'm ALL Right!
Mine too. It almost makes me cry every time I hear it for some reason. It's almost too beautiful!

You could also go into your cookies folder and delete the pertinet ones from the offending sites. This is a little more time consuming, but it would slow down the junk.

Well, I think you do get more comfortable with who you are.....your strengths and weaknesses as you get older.
I think one of the best things about our First Couple is that they are both so totally comfortable with who they are. It's a goal to strive for, IMO, and I'm only part way there.

do you have
adaware? It's free, it detects different kinds of spy ware....it's possible it could find something that got onto your computer...unless its a virus or trojan (to go with the viagra, lol). I have no problems with those pop-ups, at all. But I run adaware periodically. I also run spy bots.

And people like Bush make great role models. My nephew who is 14 has never paid attention to politics until recently. He's totally a fan. And, his dad, my brother, joined Free Republic today. Dubya's appeal is branching out beyond us broken glass types.

Did not have a chance to watch the WHCD, but have it on tape. So was Michael Moore there to embarass the President??
I understood some media groups wanted to invite him as a guest but have not heard whether anyone did.
Also what in the Hell was Kelsy Grammer doing there? I also saw that Joey Pants from "The Sopranos" was there and Richard Belzer from "Law & Order SVU". What a eclectic gathering!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Hi you old goat."....True Fred....Old Goat Here.
But you be careful my friend. If someone paints an #8 on your head, your in trouble.

The pop ups are so annoying, and in most cases, inappropriate. I hope you figure something out so Bradley doesn't see it.

I would have rather heard America the Beautiful than the song he sang. I agree, it didn't sound appropriate. I don't think you're getting paranoid, but then again, maybe I'm getting paranoid. :)

Two ladies who attended the dinner got onto the elevator to the parking garage with us. They were talking about some of the guests who had left early and were somewhat angry with this behavior, saying, "How would they feel if people in the audience left partway through their performance?" The people they were discussing were Mary Tyler Moore and Julie Andrews (and her husband). To be fair, both actresses could have had other engagements.
We met Mary Matalin while we were still outside just when the dinner was starting. She told us she was proud of what we were doing and shook some of our hands. Mary had to leave early to attend a friend's birthday party.
We had a great time at the DC Chapter's Fifth Annual White House Correspondents Association Dinner FReep!

Cats like the floor imo. India would definitely, not interested in sleeping with Barney. I think it's great that we even know the names of their pets. They have a longhorn steer too, named Ophelia. I think the steer sleeps in a barn in Crawford, ya think? Not in the WH bed. lol

if I am not asleep in 3 minutes I will not get my much needed beauty sleep! Yeah, I need to get off this computer, too....it's almost 1:00 a.m. here......the last time I stayed up real late (or early) on FR was during the war, on a Saturday I think a couple weeks ago, up till 4:00 a.m., sheesh!
