John Loftus (john-loftus.com) said on WABC radio the other night that the U.S. believes that Hussein sent his emissaries to Bin Laden in 1998 following the cruise missle strikes that Clinton launched on Baghdad. Bin Laden was told that Hussein wanted revenge against us and he would provide support and weapons. The attacks on the African embassies came soon afterwards. The 9/11 hijackers received training in Iraq on how to hijack planes using knives. When they came to the U.S., they tried to buy crop dusters. They were going to use the crop dusters to spray chemical or bio weapons over our cities. The weapons were to be provided by Hussein. Attah tried to get a loan from the U.S. government to buy crop dusters. He did not get it. When they could not obtain enough crop dusters, they went to plan B. The highjacking of the planes. According to Loftus' intel, if their theory is correct, Saddam was the initiator of the Al Qaeda attacks from the embassies to 9/11.

What I have never understood is why atta & company even tried to obtain government loans to purchase the crop dusters. Wasn't sadam's and other terrorist's money enough? Does the U.S. agriculture dept. require loans for folks looking to buy a crop duster?
