Before you fall for the Government looking into your bedroom window argument I want all of you to tell me the last time the government looked into your bedroon. When was the last time they looked into your house at all when you were unaware or otherwise surprized?

How many folks have had any government agent look into your bedroom in any way? I want a show of hands here. I believe it is an invalid and hysterical argument that is being laid before you. Don't fall for that.

I have to disagree with you there, Khep. We actually DO have a constitutional right not to have the government looking in without a warrant or consent. I don't want the goverment looking into my house.

That does NOT mean, however, that I have some kind of right to just do whatever in my home, that no private activity whatsoever between consenting adults can be regulated by a state government. The question of whether the government is entitled to look inside your home is totally unrelated to the question of whether any private activity in your home can ever be considered illegal.

If you don't like laws against private activities, then don't pass them, or repeal them. That's why we have legislatures in this country.

Exactly.

It's not hysterical.

So, you're in favor of laws that won't be enforced? Non-enforcement of some laws lowers respect for all laws.

Besides, whether they've looked into my bedroom or not, the law gives them the right to look in my window, and I don't want them to have it.

I agree with you -- displayed before us is a red herring in leiu of legitimizing the "sanctity of the bedroom" regardless of anything that goes on there.
