In a nutshell.
Texans want to fornicate, no law against it, Texans want to commit adultery, no law against it in Texas, Texans want to sodomize their wives, but in your blind need to exclude from an activity that you are perfectly free to engage in, people that you do not approve of, Texans created a flawed law.
Your flawed law, and the hypocrisy of the State in allowing some to do what others may not, simply because that's the way you want it, is about to put into play even the institution of marriage.
Twist it all you want, it's the Texan law that screwed things up, you could have just made sodomy illegal, but you had to eat your pie, and have it too (or not let others eat it).
Thank you Texas.

The anti-sodomy law in TX did not differentiate between a male/female couple and a male/male 'couple'.
The law was generally not enforced. It seems that it was in this case because the cops had broken in and needed to find some reason to justify their action (since they didn't find anything else). But I challenge you to cite instances where this law was enforced purely for its own sake.
