- Gave a Florida driver's license number
- Didn't use his real name, instead claiming his first name was Jacqueline.
- At the time of his arrest, he was reportedly carrying $10,000 in cash
- He had changed his appearance by growing a goatee and bleaching his hair.
- He had applied for a passport in his brother's name.
NAAAH, I'm SURE there's an innocent explanation. < /sarcasm >

"I'm sure counsel advised him not to change his appearance." Of course, as all lawyers are officers of the court and would never aid a crime.

You of all people should have an understanding of that concept.

Of course, as all lawyers are officers of the court and would never aid a crime. Although I share your cynicism about lawyers, I don't think it applies here, because Peterson's lawyer stood to make more money with him around to defend than with him out of the country. Advice to flee would only make sense if the lawyer liked Peterson more than money, which, given what scum Peterson is, seems unlawyerly.

They interviewed a defense lawyer on TV, and he said that all of these things are not admissable in court since he did not attempt to flee. The jury will never hear it (in court).
If you'll recall, similar items were not admitted in the OJ trial (I think it involved a facial disguise, money, a passport, and a gun).
But do I think SP was getting ready to book? Yep.

On Greta's show last night someone said that Laci's sister found that a pair of Laci's maternity pajamas were missing when she went to the house with detectives. Does that mean that she was killed that night and dumped in the Bay in her pajamas? That's what I got out of the information.

--I believe it to be a rather pitiful commentary on the state of the country when a rather banal homicide like this can become one of the dominating national issues. More time will be wasted on this in the next few months, I suspect, than the reconstruction of Iraq--

Run, Scottie, run!

I agree, not one more word about this subject-but we all accessed this article didn't we?

More time will be wasted on this in the next few months, I suspect, than the reconstruction of Iraq--Are you worried that the reconstruction of Iraq will be delayed or compromised because some discuss the Peterson case?
Behold the power of the Freepers!
Rest assured we have lots of Iraq discussions going on which outnumber the Peterson case. Let those who wish to observe our Criminal Justice system in action do so.
Banal? How sad for you.

And as to the answer to the question, was he going to flee?
Of course!

I don't think so. I remember that they said the body was wearing a maternity bra. Unless, of course, she wore it to bed.

I think you are being entirely too judgemental.
Sarcasm off. None of this is behavior by an innocent man. I deem him guilty as hell.

Eh, you talk to two lawyers, you get three opinions.
Admissibility of any given evidence will depend on the presiding judge. Those facts might be used as circumstantial evidence of Peterson's knowledge of his guilt.

I had heard he was in possession of his brother's photo ID. Did he apply for a passport as well?

Nah, if it was Scott's mother, she'd be ranting about how evil the police are, and how deluded Laci's family is, and how innocent her son is, and how happily married her son and Laci were -- as if the whole world didn't know he was screwing around on his pregnant wife, and lying to who-knows-how-many other women.
It's no wonder Scott is such a monster, with a stupid mother like that. Laci is probably dead because she wasn't as easily fooled as Scott's mother.
