I have to say, if the Iraqis were stupid enough to attack on the basis of being insulted, then they certainly deserved whatever they got.
Regards, Ivan

Oh... and did they have a recording of George W. Bush cursing Saddam's mustache?

Ivan, thanks for the article.
I can't stop laughing.
Brilliant strategy.

Agreed, Ivan. The Iraqis are better off without these idiots in the gene pool. Explains to me why they still live in the 14th Century.
Rummy looks like a genius.
Hats off to special forces....a good line of work for adrenaline junkies. Amazing.

C'mon, Ivan. didn't you hear that this was all a movie set, and off camera the Americans were committing suicide at the gates a Baghdad, they were so frustrated and overwhelmed by the great Iraqui Republican Guard? < /major sarcasm off! >
the Iraquis tried psy ops too, except they were so clumsy that it didn't work.

Rummy IS a genious!

I'll bet we don't hear much of Rummy's success stateside.

My Dad used to tell me that the Japanese would yell "To Hell With Babe Ruth".

"..Babe Ruth"
But they surely didn't fall for it...except for maybe a few Yankee fans.

I can't help but be reminded of John Cleese's French soldier character in Monty Python & the Holy Grail. He's on the wall shouting down "Yer motherrrr was a hamsterrr and yer fatherrr smelled of elderberrries! I faahrt in yer zheneral direction!

I heard that our guys were yelling (in Arabic) "Akmed, you are impotent" over their megaphones. Gotta love it!

I don't believe this. Maybe a few fools in the early going took the bait, but you know those Arabs. They're not terribly brave once they realize they'll get blown up without blowing any enemies up in the process.
To: TLBSHOW
Through enormous loudspeakers mounted on their humvees, troops broadcast messages proclaiming that Iraqi men were impotent. The insult had been carefully chosen to so enrage Iraqi troops that they could not resist rushing from their defensive positions to attack the American troops in open battle, with terrible consequences.
TLB, did you devise this strategy for our military forces?
To: MadIvan
Rumsfeld to Arnett: Eat my dust....Plans A AND B did the job.
