Yet, I wonder whether Ritter's original flip-flop about Iraq ('WMDs hidden' suddenly changed to 'Iraq has none') wasn't due to a "set up" by the Iraqis. In other words, they honey-trapped him or at least got evidence of his proclivities. Then the Iraqis turned the screws and forced Ritter to do their bidding.
Admittedly, this is speculation. However, Ritter's turn-about was so complete and sudden that I wonder if some blackmail, along with the bucks Ritter was getting from the sanction-opposing Iraqi-American, caused the sudden change in his point of view about Iraqi WMDs.
