I was shocked to read about the allegations, ostensibly based upon documents discovered in Iraq, that George Galloway was somehow compensated financially by the Iraqi government for championing its cause. I was shocked because, if these allegations prove to be true, then the integrity and credibility of a man for whom I have great respect would be dramatically undermined.

"But mainly I was shocked because...well...because HE got 10 MIL and I got a lousy couple hundred thousand!"

How can people of apparent good intentions and capabilities come to such divergent conclusions, that some see nobility of purpose where others see a tyranny of lies, and others exactly the reverse?
Man's capacity for confusion and delusion seems unlimited.

To allow George Galloway to be silenced now, when his criticisms of British policy over Iraq have been shown to be fundamentally sound, would be a travesty of democracy. Rather than casting him aside, the British people should reconsider his statements in the light of the emerging reality that it is Blair and not Galloway who have been saying things worthy of investigation.Breathtaking. What a creep!
I expect that there are others in the West besides Galloway who are on pins and needles, worrying about what Iraqi documents might surface to reveal their treason and the incentives they received from Saddam's regime.

C-SPAN just announced that Ritter is going to be somehow involved in a program airing tonight at 9:30 pm est.....they didn't elaborate, simply that at that time will be Scott Ritter.

Yep! He's still running around the world telling them that it was the USA and not the UN's "Oil for food" program that killed 1.5 million little Iraqi children. Traitor!

I saw the tail end of a FNC report of him speaking but didn't catch any of it. That inspired me to do a search and I found this article. I'll watch C-Span and see what they have, thanks!

" The message I heard him deliver that night was one of human kindness and compassion. He spoke out against the suffering of the Iraqi people under the effects of a decades-long economic embargo"
I think he meant the "oil for palaces" program, but.... what do I know. It isn't a surprise that Scottie was there for a speech by Galloway. The two probably got their pay from the same source. And got some extra-curricular activities from the same source as well. *sigh*

Ol Scott better start worrying that his name will be found in Saddam's payoff book. The boys in Levenworth won't take kindly to sharing a cell with a child molester.

Bill Clinton is a rapist; how convenient. O.J. Simpson is a double murderer; how convenient. Jeffrey Dahmer was a cannibal; how convenient. Marion Barry is a crackhead; how convenient. Michael Moore is a disgusting lying slob; how convenient. Hillary Clinton is a b*tch; how convenient.
What's the point, molestor Scotty? People are what they are. Galloway is what he is. No one made him do it.
