You got it.

Of course I have not approved of every action or stance by this administration. And when that happens, I write letters and make phone calls and make my displeasure known.
What I DON'T do is act like a jilted teenage girl and turn my disappointment into a foot stomping, petulant, name-calling crisis like you do.
I don't turn every person who disagrees with me into the enemy by calling them Clinton-lovers, or socialists, or 'morons'....or any of the other names you come up with.
I don't throw away the big picture because one piece of my 'perfect puzzle' didn't fall into place like I wanted.
I don't call my President the names you have called him...in some of your emotional rants. Good thing he hasn't turned his back on you....like you keep doing to him.
I don't forget all the wonderful things we have accomplished and how blessed we are to have this man as our President.
And finally, I don't negate, with some cry-baby B.S. the amount of things this man, and the GOP have had to deal with in the last 18 months.
You spit on all of that....and you do it with regularity and a vengence that makes many of us ashamed of you.

A More up to date story is when President Bush was being led astray by Grover and myself and other freepers tried to correct it and from my information Daniel Pipes being put forth was part of the result of that problem being corrected. Are you taking credit for that? Is that what you're saying?

"He's claiming yet again that he has influence at the White House." IMHO, anybody who joins the Public Debate and contacts their elected officials--including the POTUS--to put forward their arguments has to believe they have influence at the White House or else we wouldn't waste our time getting involved. I have no desire to go back and track down how this whole rigamarole got started, but at first glance, it seems like at least three FReepers I've come to respect over the years are resorting to calling each other names that don't accurately describe the characters of the FReepers I've come to know.
Then again, HOO the HECK gives a damn what I think?! LOL!!

Keeping their feet to the fire is not a bad thing. But yes there does come a time like 6 months before the election when winning the election is the only thing that must be top priority and keeping their feet to the fire is then second to that if at all. You don't give up working to get the best out of our people and to get them to do the right things. Remember they work for the people of this country it is not the other way around. Keeping the R's feet to the fire is not a bad thing. However, the criticism needs to be based on facts -- not propaganda that originates from leftist "news organizations" and "news writers".
This Patrick Wintour, The Guardian article is only one in a long line of articles that you paste and post that tries to misrepresent the truth. The first sentence of this article tells it all;
"Tony Blair took repeated secret advice from the former American president Bill Clinton on how to unlock the diplomatic impasse between Europe and the US in the build-up to the war on Iraq, the Guardian can reveal."
The article then says nothing to back this claim -- that Blair was working behind our president's back. BTW, the source on this article is most likely Bill Clinton whom both The Gaurdian and Patrick Wintour think is the living end.
Ya know many here on this board have seen a lifetime of propaganda from the leftists. Then more recently here at FR some libertarians and other third party advocates and anarchists started to join in using the same vile misinformation that originates from the organized global statists. Only this new information is dressed up to look like it is from and for, all of us Constitution loving Freepers.
Well its not and what you get as more and more people here at FR recognize it, is anger that is now directed at those you use it -- and it seems to be you more than anybody else who now uses it.

The credit for 1441 belongs in large measure to Blair, who saw it as a chance to disarm Saddam in a way that strengthened the UN and preserved the Atlantic alliance. Unfortunately, the consensus behind 1441 has unravelled. Saddam has destroyed some missiles but beyond that he has done only what he thinks is necessary to keep the UN divided on the use of force. The really important issues relating to chemical and biological weapons remain unresolved.
In the face of the foot dragging, hawks in America have been pushing for an immediate attack on Iraq. Some of them want regime change for reasons other than disarmament, and, therefore, they have discredited the inspection process from the beginning; they did not want it to succeed. Because military action probably will require only a few days, they believe the world community will quickly unite on rebuilding Iraq as soon as Saddam is deposed.

An E-mail Exchange With Tony Blair About Bill Clinton
by James Fallows
.....
QUESTION:
What sort of role does Bill Clinton play with world leaders who are still in officeand what weight do his public statements and his private counsel carrynow that he himself has left the presidency?
BLAIR:
President Clinton has a wealth of experience to offer as any modern President would do after eight years in the White House. So, of course, what he sayswhether in public or privatecarries weight with other leaders.
He also, of course, has remarkable energy. What's good is that he is using this experience and enthusiasm to continue pushing forward those issues he cares so passionately about such as education, peace, and the problems of Africa.
People listen because they know that he knows what he is talking about. And his intervention not only draws attention to these issues but can also help prompt action.
QUESTION:
What is the current state of "Third Way" thinking internationally? With Bill Clinton out of office and with Al Gore not succeeding him, and with the current emphasis on post September 11 policies and politics, how much is left of the "Third Way" movement?
BLAIR:
We recently held an international seminar here on the Third Way which drew political figures and policy makers from all over the world including, I'm delighted to say, President Clinton. I'm giving no secrets away by saying his contribution was, for many people, the highlight of the weekend.
I think anyone who attended would know that there is plenty of life left in the Third Way and that it is influencing policy strongly across the world. No one should be surprised about this. There has never been a time when it has been more important that we have thinking and policies which combine the need for addressing global security and global poverty, or for tackling social injustice and promoting business. What the Third Way is showing is that these goals are not in conflict, as some have suggested in the past, but must be achieved together.
QUESTION:
What sort of ongoing personal relationship exists between Mr. Clinton and Mr. Blair? How often do they talk? Is the prime minister's job in England noticeably different, with the change in U.S. partners to work with?
BLAIR:
I'm lucky to count President Clinton as a friend. We try to see each other when he is in Britain, with Cherie and Hillary too, who are also friends. And we catch up on the phone as well from time to time. We speak, of course, about politics and world affairs but I suspect we also spend more time talking about our families and other things, like friends do, than many people might expect.
But this friendship doesn't interfere with the strong relationship Britain has with the United States or I personally have with President Bush. I know President Clinton would want to make sure that's the case because he, above all people, realises how important this relationship is.
President Bush may only have been in office a couple of years but, because of the appalling attacks of 9/11, Iraq, and other world events, we have worked together very closely indeed. I have a great deal of admiration for him. We get on well but more importantly, I think the relationship between our two countries has rarely, if ever, been closer. That's not just good news for Britain and the U.S. but for the whole world.

Mandelson sets out to revive 'Third Way'(Clinton, Blair, a international social democratic agenda)

Mandelson sets out to revive 'Third Way'
MINISTERS and senior Labour figures will today begin drafting a route map to help Tony Blair to navigate a political landscape made still more hazardous by the global ructions over war in Iraq. They will be joined by around 100 centre-left thinkers from across Europe and the developing world for a two-day meeting in London convened by Peter Mandelson, one of the Prime Ministers closest allies.
Their conclusions will form the basis of an agenda for Mr Blairs Progressive Governance conference for world leaders in July, at which he intends to breathe new life into the Third Way philosophy first formulated with Bill Clinton almost ten years ago.

AS THEY roared north to Baghdad, US forces knew that they had a powerful secret weapon on their side - finely-honed insults that would make Iraqi troops blood boil.
Through enormous loudspeakers mounted on their humvees, troops broadcast messages proclaiming that Iraqi men were impotent.
The insult had been carefully chosen to so enrage Iraqi troops that they could not resist rushing from their defensive positions to attack the American troops in open battle, with terrible consequences.
According to Newsweek, US Central Command was delighted that the carefully constructed plan "to mess with their heads" seemed to be working so well. The strategy is one of many aspects of a war that went almost un-noted - the hidden psychological and special forces operations that helped win the war.
