Let me offer a comparison. I recently saw an old Saturday Night Live episode from during Bush's father's presidency. It was a parody of the lack of candidates willing to face him - they had all of the candidates out there trying to convince everyone *not* to nominate them for the presidency.

Again, I'll repeat. Never underestimate your enemy. Just because we've taken the blinders off the public recently doesn't mean that they won't manage to put them back on again as they did in '92. Always keep on your toes.
