Until we're able to reliably produce ONLY pieces parts of complex animals, this is one area of research that we simply should not touch. How do we get to the point where we can reliably produce only parts if this area of research is off-limits?

Through the use of adult stem cells, to be found in abundance in cord blood and even within the adult human body, I would suggest finding the article regarding the Visconti brothers, in a back issue of Discover Magazine. If memory serves, the article was title 'Doctors With A Heart' or 'Brothers With A Heart' ... the search mechanism at their website will bring it up. Very interesting read on current stem cell exploitation.
