We've just had a pretty substantial hailstorm here in Katy, about 25 miles west of the center of Houston.
Hailstones about marble-sized, coming down pretty heavily.
Take cover, Houston folks!

From his lofty perch in Brookshire, Bacon informs me that it is indeed hailing, and coming our way.

Baghdad Bob imitation time.
It is NOT hailing. It is sunny in Houston. The black clouds are a figment of your imagination. It is all a big movie. Clear skies.
OK - Back to reality.
Black clouds in West Houston. Not much rain... Looks like tornado possibilities.

Hail has ended, now just a moderate rain.
There have been a few rumbles of thunder but nothing that seemed very close to where I am (Clay Rd. and Mason Rd.)

Don't know, it sort of took me by surprise. I thought the dog was messing with something in the living room, then looked out the window and realized it was coming down pretty good.

Say what?

Yeah, that heavy spot showing on the animation (the southwesterly one) seems to be what just passed through here.

Wow, you are just a spit away from me (Hwy 6 and 290). Heavy downpours that last about 5 minutes then stop. No hail as of yet.
To: Airborne Longhorn
Doesn't look like it. For me, anyway.
Now it has stopped raining. Just thunder in the distance.
That makes me nervous.
FNC just went to a teaser about the tornado damage last night in north Texas.

It's dark here in the Galleria area with pretty strong winds but no rain - but you can see it comin'!
