There's nothing worse in the minds of .325 percent of voters then for Bush to extend this insignificant law. He could give them 99% of the pie, but that last 1% will be his downfall.

That's why I don't believe they ever voted for Bush in the first place, the great majority of 'em. Their attitude is far, far too "C3PO" (Conservative Third Party Oddball) for them to have voted for "the Shrub" in 2000, with the prevailing attitude they showed here in the run-up to election.
