Taking this opportunity to try to learn a few things.. HTML, opening another Explorer window(yup, just learning this after 5 years online).
Before FReepers, never had a need , desire.
What time zone are you in?

In this forum is there some location where you can see which members are logged onto the site?

Experiment with HTML. That's the best way to learn. But some HTML tags are filtered out on these web sites.

Very quiet tonight. Yeah, most of us had to remember how to make a living...
At least I got a bump in so I can find the thread tomorrow. Can't live without my "Operation Iraqi Freedom" News Central!
Arafat caught holding hands with the new PM, so he set off another bomb at a train station so everyone will know he doesn't really mean it... Sheesh, can we really deal with these people human-to-human?

I don't know if there is a way to tell who is logged on.
On the middle east.....they are still locked into the old paradigm.

Arafat and Castro prove the hypocracy of the world. There will never be peace or even an understanding with Israel as long as Arafat lives.
And the US should crack down on him, Castro, Assad in Syria, Iran, Jordan, etc. We can get tough in so many ways that doesn't even involve military force.
I'm tired of playing with these a-holes!

Oh, I am just learning VERY basics.. took me about 4 hours to post the few pix that I put in my profile. The sizing was the hardest part.. my pix originally each took up the entire page !!
so far it is embarrassingly ego centric.. I only lifted pix from my personal webpage.
I have a lot of other things to add but I have to get them onto a webpage of sorts to have a url for them.
Baby steps

HTML, opening another Explorer window Right-click is your friend -- choose "Open in new window" and you'll still have the thread in the first window...
To quote with italics, "copy/paste" what you want, then surround it with <i>...</i>.
<p> gives you a "return" with an empty line after it, <br> gives you a "return" without an empty line...
What time zone are you in?
I'm Central... Gonna get chewed out for sleeping in tomorrow :-).

Hey Fled,
It seems no matter how much seeingly stability we eventually will think is there, there will always be idiots, fanatics who think they need to cause chaos.
They remind me of the mean kid in 5th grade. Causing pain & problems every opportunity

Did you look at the HTML sandbox and other "tutorials" on this site? They have many examples for posting images and other items.

Yes, I have saved them not only as bookmarks, but also in word perfect for reference.
Thanks for input. AFPhys just PM'd me re: the right click but I got nothing.. Now I realize you probably need to right click on a link or perhaps a saved bookmark. more experimenting.
I am thrilled that I have on Fox Radio tonight thanks to BagCamAddict's help. I opened that in AOL search & am using Explorer for this.
I only have a modem & can't get video streaming without my computer rebelling (freezing up in a totally ugly manner)

took me about 4 hours to post the few pix that I put in my profile. The sizing was the hardest part.. Another good trick -- especially on a busy thread like this one was in the early days -- is to have a text document open in Notepad with a lot of basic HTML in it, for cut and paste, like:
<img src="" height= width= ><br>
Then, any time you see something you might want to post later (Belly Girl, f'rinstance :-), you can add that to your text doc at your leisure, then grab it later for posting.

Well I went to all three of your profiles.. not much there but I see I am with three "old timers"..
not age wise
I am no doubt older than all of you..
but FReeper - wise.
I just joined about a month ago.
OH, how I wish I had found this years ago.......
