No, Tom DeLay is NOT a "Rodney King" Republican. The "Rodney King" Republicans tend to be in the state Senate, where 21/31 votes is needed to do much of anything. Many of these senators do not want to "rock the boat."

That's 7 out of 19 "Republican" senators who have SERIOUS credential issues when it comes to being conservative. Imagine if Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Arlen Specter, Lincoln Chaffee, and several more of their same philosophy controlled 1/3rd of the GOP delegation in the U.S. Senate. Cause that's essentially what is happening in the Texas Senate.
