Are you sure, or just guessing? My British friend was quite serious when he made the statement.

The Europeans in general have a different view of how you do business in the Middle East. If it were a crime in France to offer a bribe then half the CEOs would be in jail. Can the UK be much different?

I am sure, people were prosecuted in the Pergau dam affair, in which companies tried to bribe Indonesia's government.
