I just read how spies for Castro's Government, ladies who looked like your next door neighbor, and doctors who gained peoples trust.. just testified at the trials of a ton of people who were dissidents and wanted to expose Castro's regime. These are people the dissidents KNEW for MANY YEARS!! A total betrayal.

They are either sentenced to death now, or in jail.

I pray your friend is not one of them. I pray your dream can come true one day and you can walk down the streets of a free Cuba with him.

It is a reminder to me to never take our country for granted.

God Bless your friend and you.. Vets

Thank You my dear Friend for the Ping.

It has been my Prayer for many years that the USA Liberate the Cuban people once and for ALL!

Fidel is a sick, old Socialist/Nazi/Communist, he will soon to Go to his Just Reward and join his best friend Soddom.

When he finally takes his Last breath...I hope that the precious Cuban People can become Free from the Terrorists who have Tortured, Raped and Murdered Thousands upon Thousands of Innocent Men, Women and Children.

Sadly, this will not happen until the USA is finished cleaning and mopping up the Middle East and Far East.

Stay Tuned: Arafat and his Cronies could be...NEXT!

Major Clean Up and Disinfectant is needed in ALL IslamaNazi Occupied Territories and Squatter Holes...Gaza, West Bank, East Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Ramallah...just to name a few.

May The Lord GOD Almighty, The Holy One Of Israel:

EL SHADDAI give Swift and Complete Victory to the USA, Israel, Great Britain and to All of our real allies and friends.

Amen & Amen.

Arca Foundation Backed (Smith Bagley) U.S. Anti-Embargo Group Disbands Over Cuba Actions [Full Text] WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The chairman and board of directors of a group that has pushed for an end to the U.S. embargo on Cuba announced their resignations on Wednesday to protest executions and jailings on the communist-run island. "The regime's sudden, wholesale repression of human rights is incomprehensible as a matter of policy, and unacceptable as a matter of principle," leaders of the nonprofit Cuba Policy Foundation said in a statement.

In the last month, Cuba has imprisoned 75 dissidents for terms of up to 28 years in a move to stamp out pro-democratic opposition to Cuban President Fidel Castro's one-party state. It shocked human rights organizations two weeks ago with the execution by firing squad of three men who hijacked a ferry in a bid to cross the Florida Straits to the United States.

The Cuba Policy Foundation has been a driving force behind recent efforts in Congress to lift the four-decade-old U.S. economic embargo. The group argued the embargo has failed in its objective of promoting democratic change in Cuba and has hurt sales opportunities for U.S. farmers and other exporters. Brian Alexander, former executive director of the foundation, said the disbanded group still believes the United States would benefit from increased economic ties with Cuba. "But we also feel that under Fidel Castro significant change in Cuba will be very hard to come by. I hate to use the phrase 'death watch,' but the man has made it clear that unilateral efforts by the United States at improving relations will be rebuffed and they will be rebuffed violently," he said.

The group's chairman, William Rogers, was a top State Department official for Latin American and economic affairs during the administration of former President Gerald Ford in the 1970s. Alexander said the group received its funding from a number of sources, including companies and individuals interested in seeing the embargo ended. The Cuba Policy Foundation will cease its daily operations, but remain in existence as a corporation, he said.[End]

Informant David Manuel Orrio---I'm going to remember that name for a long time to come.

Manuel David Orrio, a Cuban agent who posed as a journalist, displays cameras and gear he said were gifts of a Cuban American group.Jose Goitia - AP

'Dissidents' Were Informers - Cuban Trial Reveals Duplicity of Writers, Activists - *** MEXICO CITY, April 23 -- Vladimiro Roca, fresh from five years in prison for criticizing Fidel Castro's government, was invited to talk about his experience last May at the home of Vicki Huddleston, then the top U.S. diplomat in Havana.

Roca recalled that Manuel David Orrio, a gregarious and accomplished dissident journalist, stood up to thank Huddleston for hosting and encouraging peaceful opposition to Castro's authoritarian rule.

"He was very well-spoken, talkative and well-educated, and seemed very convinced of what he was saying," said Roca, the son of a Cuban revolutionary hero who split with Castro years ago, in a telephone interview from Havana. "It never occurred to me that he was a spy."

Roca and 50 others gathered that day didn't know that their friend Orrio had another name, too. To his secret bosses in the Cuban military, he was known as "Agent Miguel," one of at least a dozen government spies who had infiltrated the ranks of the journalists, human rights activists, economists, librarians and others espousing democratic reforms in Cuba.

Orrio's spying was revealed in a Havana courtroom earlier this month. He was one of the key witnesses against 75 dissidents rounded up and arrested in what human rights activists have condemned as Cuba's most harsh crackdown on opposition leaders in a generation.***

Take 2: HBO wants Stone to reinterview Castro in documentary

BY LUISA YANEZ AND GLENN GARVIN
ggarvin@herald.com

In a rebuke to Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone, the pay-cable network HBO yanked his new documentary on Fidel Castro just three weeks before it was to air and ordered him to reinterview the Cuban strongman about a recent wave of political repression on the island.

An HBO spokeswoman, who asked not to be identified, said Wednesday that ''it's very unlikely'' that the documentary Comandante, which depicts a relaxed Castro amiably denying that Cuba has any political prisoners, will ever appear on the network if Stone doesn't agree to the changes.---Cuban American National Foundation press release

I've listed their names on post #4.

Sometimes, the best that can be done is to simply say their names, so that they will never be forgotten as they rot away in Castro's jails.

I'll say their names as often as I can.

NEVER FORGET!

There is socialism, and then there is evil.

Castro is neither a socialist or a communist.

He is simply a despot, a tyrant, and a dictator. To call him a socialist is to actually legitimize his regime.

Thanks for the response.
