I need to get pictures of my car on the web site I haven't built yet. That way I could post a picture of it to these threads that show up every now and again.

Sweet!

I have a 89 Mustang 'vert.

Black, lowered, de-chromed, rubber band tires, gas shocks, and 3K in Engine work.

Anytime you might be told Mucle Cars dont handle see me.

With the low ratio rear end there is not much on the street that can touch it, as many a rice burner can attest.

We should hook up sometime !

Then maybe rdb can help me set up this Linux server!

Cheers,

knews hound

PS, thought you should see this thread my red shirted friend...

rdb lives in Texas. He has seen pictures of my car. I think you're just across the main avenue from me aren't you?

Wow!! Awesome looking car. I think I'll start saving now for one :) I wonder when they'll start taking orders on them.

How many old muscle cars are out there? A 1970 charger is a 1970 charger, they all look alike.

Give me a CUSTOM BUILT 1, OF A KIND JESSE JAMES CHOPPER!!!

If I have to I'll take 1 from East Coast Choppers.

Did I hear you say "Mopar"???

Sorry. I meant GM, of course. I wrote "Mopar" because I was thinking back to a cherry '71 Plymouth Super Bird I saw on the streets of Fort Bragg, North Carolina in the summer of 1978. That was some wild ride, I'm sure...

Oh, very nice Cuda pic...yours? I'm saving it for the husband to see tomorrow. He has a '67 Coronet R/T, 56,000 miles, all original (except for a new paint job) that he bought from the owner's son last summer. It even has automatic windows and working air conditioning, which comes in handy since it only comes out of the garage on clear, hot, sunny days (of course).

I have been promised a "Panther Pink" Roadrunner someday, to make up for the time he spends in the garage with his other "woman."

No, not mine. I only wish it were. Found it on hemmings.com. Guy's is asking $65,000 for it.

BTW, there are more pics of that car on Hemmings.com, plus a description. Just click on Vehicle Search and type in Cuda for the keyword. You don't have to fill out make, model and year. Lots of other Cudas will come up, too. This one was just one of my favorites. :-)

The Corvette may be a lot of things, but it was NEVER a muscle car.

You're obviously misinformed, and never heard of the ZL-1, the L-88 or the contemporary Z-06. The modern, C-5 Corvette will run the quarter-mile in the mid-12's to low 13's (depending on gear-ratio and traction), has AC, leather, every power goody you could want and a removable targa-top, AND gets 35 MPG on the highway, if you're doing the speed limit and drive sanely...

Considering a new, well-equipped sedan runs $25-30K, a new truck with the same options is about the same... or a 2-year-old Vette with less than 30,000 miles on it- which is barely broken-in- runs $25-30K, depending on how good you are at dealing on cars....

My next ride WILL be a C-5 Corvette.

I had a '66 GTO with NO options other than three deuces, a radio and a heater and some aftermarket additions. What a screamer. Wish I still had it but I'm more functional these days; a '99 Lightning that's been tweaked just a wee bit (keeping this low res but you'll get the picture).

Ain't nothing like 420hp for hauling stuff home from Home Depot.

How's this for something a little different? I'm re-registering it tomorrow, it'll finally be on the road Saturday... I've been working on it for three years.

1970 Buick Riviera. New 455 V-8, Turbo-400 automatic transmission. 17" Niche "Sting" rims, 245/45ZR-17 tires. House of Color Dark Currant Pearl Metallic paint. Body is stock except for removal of vinyl top, shaved door handles and trunk latch. Current name, "Big Bertha." :-P

Watch a 735hp Lingenfelter C-5 run the 1/4 mile in 8.95 sec. I NEED one bad! (That and the 550hp Lingenfelter Hummer.)
