Horsepower and martial valor couldn't have come at a better time.
The French semiologist Roland Barthes once said he considered cars "almost the exact equivalent of the great Gothic cathedrals

Give us a twisty road and you will be in the weeds. Not even competition drivers can press a front wheel drive car hard without losing it in some of the corners. Historically, you are right. Have you had any recent experience driving late model, high performance front wheel drive cars though? I had my Neon R/T in Europe, and with some big, fat, low profile Z rated tires, it handled curves with aplomb. Just ask the owners of the BMWs and Audis that couldn't keep pace. Weeds? Passed right by'em.

Another by Leffingwell. I had to downsize the images for a fast load. They don't quite do justice to just how good they look in his book.
Oh, those were the days....

Well it's true you don't need height and width but it's considered good etiquette because it allows the browser to load the page faster. You can get the address, height and width by right-clicking on the picture in your browser and clicking "properties".
Note that it has to be a picture on the web, not on your hard drive, unless you upload it somewhere first.

"I have been looking for vintage cars, Mercedes are very nice; but I think I want American... one with lots of chrome."

Corvettes are 50K cars. Camaro was priced much less. GM was incredibly stupid for killing the Camaro.

1971 Cuda 426 Hemi You know, a car like that is only ever seen parked next to a trailer, isn't it? Always a trailer.
I wonder if the owner has mutton chop sideburns, too?

muscle cars should be metal and chrome. I excpect American makers to screw it up and make them plastic and metal...in 5 years the bumpers will be fade to a different color than the rest of the car...
