No wonder why the Dems (and especially the Congressional Black Caucus) loves Castro and Cuba.....they take away everything from everyone and keep it to their political elite

And the Dems always laud the Cuban Healthcare System....but never mention the Cuban economy. Sad

This is what the Clintons had in mind for the rest of us.

We met a young man last month in Key West who is has been in Cuba recently. He described a desperate country. He said children are going through trash for food and the milk they receive is of the powdered variety. Yes, there are many doctors, but no medicine with which to practice.

He said a friend was swimming too far out in the ocean and was sentenced to three years in prison. Of course, if you are in prison in Cuba your family is responsible for providing food for you.

He said some of the armed forces are leaving Cuba if they get the chance. I think four of their coast guardsman brought their launch to a Key West hotel dock a few weeks before we were there.

He does not support lifting the embargo because he thinks the regime will collapse more quickly. Even if the embargo is lifted he sees more money going into Castro's hands. At that time he held out more hope that the dissidents could force Castro to honor the Cuban constitution. I wonder, in light of the recent crackdown and executions, what his reaction would be now.

According to him, the dirty little secret in the Castro regime is Castro plays the dark-skinned Cubans, who supposedly love Castro, against the lighter-skinned ones, who despise him.

Oh, he was especially harsh on Jimmy Carter, Barbara Walters, Steven Spielberg and Martin Sheen.

Just thought I would share.
