Everytime she opens her mouth to trash our President, Texans should send her a list of the innocent people killed by one of her paroles.

Thanks for the photo.

Look at what the Illinois governor has done with his moratorium on the death penalty.

Governors lead in setting the tone.

I like the current Texas tone.

This should have taken three weeks to execute this scum, not years. And he should have been executed the first time.

I'm sick of reading about convicted murderers being freed to murder again. The penalty should be, you murder somebody, (1st or 2nd Degree), you DIE. No life sentences, and certainly no parole.

The Illinois abettor re murderers will go down in history as the man who enabled killers not to die for their crimes.

Mr. Chavez was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the 1985 home invasion slaying of a Dallas neighbor. He was paroled in March 1994, according to state records. A year later, he began to kill again.

A parolee going on a crime spree. I'm shocked.

Who was the Texas Governor who parolled this stone killer?

Ann Richards(D), I think. I don't think Bush was in office then.

Chavez had previously been convicted of murder with a deadly weapon

He should have been publicly hung for this and he wouldn't have commited the other murders.
Thank you, you bleeding heart a$$holes.

3131 Webbs Chapel Ext

I've seen at least one double-homicide at that location (unidentified hispanic males dead of stab wounds in an apartment), and have taken any number of robbery and assault reports nearby. Not a pleasant area, even though it's close to some of the wealthiest areas in North Dallas.

It IS bad this guy got a second chance to murder.

Of course, this being Texas, this guy is toast in a few hours now. Unlike some states that claim to have a death penalty (ahem! California), but never seem to get around to finishing the job.

I bet the murderer of Laci Peterson, when convicted, doesn't get the DP, OR if he does, it is never carried out. . .

What a crazy country where we have non-killers/rapist(whatever their crime may be) in jail for 10 years or more but COLD BLOODED MURDERERS and serial rapists get out in less than 10 years.

Can ANYONE, including liberals, say that justice is being done???

If this guy was in Massachusetts he would be studying for his college degree in between workouts at the gym and watching cable television . . .

. . . with Danny Glover, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, and Martin Sheen protesting outside the prison gates singing Kumbaya and Puff the Magic Dragon and Petah Jennings -- using camera angles, slight-of-hand, close-ups, and Jesse Jackson's crowd-counting-methods -- reporting that the four-some was actually a gazillion Texas rednecks who'd miraculously "seen the light" and converted to anti-death penalty zealots.

Tom WELL SAID!!!

I, personally, never liked, nor agreed on the reasons why the damn states started going to lethal injection vs "the good old days".... I also feel that some scumbucket murderer goes easy while his victims may have taken hours to die.

My personal choices, 1. Same as you, "Old Sparky", let the people (and the potential perps among 'em) watch the "smoke and fire show".. and let 'em SMELL it.. this is a really strong deterrent.

Second favorite, for really vicious criminals-- hanging, but no drop, using whatever diameter of piano wire strikes your fancy, and the heinousness of the crime...method, simple, rent a jib crane from your local construction supply facility, supports the community businesses and also gives a "shock and awe" show to the populace (and the perps among em).

The above being said, the most important thing of all..limit the damn appeals, stop the wimp libs from doing the "beg any court" thing over and over... my idea. One appeal, you fail, you die. Period. Time frame 24-48 hours max from courtroom to hell. IF people understood that punishment is swift, sure and just, and carried out remorselessly, the perps and potential perps would get the idea quickly.

Keep the faith for freedom

Greg
