"..1 million Louisianans do not believe the governor is guilty." The article does NOT say that. It "does" say the "committee" plans to TRY to collect 1,000,000 signatures on their petition. I suspect their chances of collecting even a tiny fraction of that number are those of the proverbial snowball in hell.
Anyone from Louisiana who isn't a crook himself KNOWS that Edwin is/was guilty of those crimes he was accused of, as well as multitudinous others for which he was too slick to get caught.
May Edwin croak of old age in prison!!

If Edwards had gone to prison when he had originally been sentenced instead of endlessly appealing his conviction, he'd probably be out by now.
