A GIRL of 18 told last night how she reeled with shock - when medics said: "Youre expecting quads!"
Stacey Theobald conceived without fertility treatment at odds of a MILLION to one.
She said: "I was absolutely gobsmacked when I was told. It still hasnt sunk in properly."
A nurse broke the news to Stacey, from Gillingham, Kent, when the teenager had a hospital scan for what she thought was one baby.
Stacey, who had suffered complications, was told everything was fine - but there were four babies.
The single barmaid said: "I blurted Oh my God! Four babies. Are you sure?"
"If I hadnt been sitting down I would have fallen down!"

Nice looking kid. I'm attracted to redheads myself. Let's hope she makes a good mother.

actually this is a pretty screwed up story - 2 broken homes, doctors reccomending 2 babies be aborted and of course all the kids are out of wedlock i.e. bastards.

Let's hope she can make it to term. Multiple births can be very difficult.

They sure are. I had a co-worker who was expecting triplets and she lost one. Sooo sad!

Yeah, it's a very sad story. These kids have absolutely no idea what's in store for them. I doubt very much the guy is going to stick around.

doctors recomending 2 babies be aborted Why the heck would the doctors recommend that? Unless they don't think she will be able to carry them or 2 are not going to be able to grow to full term.

"She was asked to consider reducing the number of foetuses to give those remaining a greater chance of survival, but refused."
I think this says alot about her...in a good way. I agree that the ideal situation is marriage, sometimes its just not a priority to some people. I have known couples who have spent 20+ years together (still together) and never go around to actually getting married. For some its just a piece of paper.

"It still hasnt sunk in properly."Is she sure about that?

Can't you just see her on one of those TV talk shows where they prove/disprove that some poor schmuck is the father? "Yes, Maury, I'm sure that one of those six guys is the father of two of my darlings and that the rest of the platoon is probably father to the other two."

My sister-in-law lost one of a set of twins in the first trimester, but no one remembered to tell me (I thought she'd had a miscarriage & was pregnant no longer). When my mother-in-law told me a month or so later that they were shopping for a crib and baby things, I thought she'd gone insane & it was a weird kind of therapy.
Fortunately, she had one very healthy baby. But multiple births are difficult, and few, if any (save a few sets of twins) multiple baby pregnancies can be carried to term.

Experts reckon bringing up four babies will cost almost £17,000 a year. The overtaxed people of Britain will be happy to help--don't worry Love.

There was a picture of her with her bare midrif exposed, I bet that will be the last time she ever wears that style of clothing again.

In my years in NICU in the 80's with the early use of fertility drugs, we saw a lot of multiple births. The larger, seemingly more healthy ones weren't necessarily the ones that did the best. Frequently, the smaller ones are actually hardier because they've been stressed and forced to mature faster. How can a Dr. make the determination which 2 to sacrifice?!

I was a twin and my mom lost my twin in the 3rd month. They put her on "birth control pills" to carry me and induced labor at 8 months.

Unless carrying 4 babies will be dangerous to the girl's health. I don't know. That is strange!
