We sure didn't watch it. The reason -- Sarandon, of course!

Perhaps if someone were to slap her upside the head it would accomplish two things:

1. Knocking some sense into her melon.

2. Uncrossing her bug eyes.

I watched about 3 minutes of the movie-(because of the many
commercials aired during The Ten Commandments).

The acting and plot scenario was so bad -it could become a cult film classic!!- Sarandon just recieved top billing -

As I understand it-every scientist at the south pole is:

1.A drunk
2.A sexist creep if male
3.Wanton slut if female
4.males are bearded neanderthols in parkas
5.women are barbie dollmake up in jumpsuits
6.BEER is FREE!
7.Science? -I thought this was a frat party.

3 minutes over... back to The Ten Commandments

It looks like I missed a real masterpiece. Apparently I was in greater company if I was watching Happy Days that night.

Yup, Suzanne Ceran-wrap got worked in the ratings. When I first saw the promotions for that movie I thought no one would want to see Ceran-wrap on TV. The lower the GM the higher the LQ, and therefore the lower the ratings. ;)

George Looney is next, by the way. I don't particularly like it when a man makes a mockery out of a serious disease, especially one as devestating as alzheimers. I would know, my grandfather died from it. Then this Hollywood moron thinks he has the right to say whatever he wants about Charleton Heston, just because he stands up for one of our sacred freedoms. George Looney can drop dead, see if I care.

When, oh when, will these Hollywod nitwits get the message,

"I do not care to know your opinion on religion, politics, sex or any other subject. I either watch you or listen to you based upon your ability to act/sing or whatever else your talent is. When you force your opinion upon me, I'll quit spending my money on your behalf.
Got it?"

I saw an interview with tim robbins on the today show last week and he mentioned that the only radio stations that where boycotting the dixie chicks songs where stations from clear channel (I think that was the company he mentioned) and that company has a connection with the republican party. He just doesn't get it. Peolpe / Americans boycotted the chicks and his wife's movie. He must think we are stupid poppetts who have no valid opinions or values.

What a jerk. I will never again see a movie with either of them in it.

One of the problems with trying to boycott these turds is their ability to get their money up front regardless of how well the show or picture does. Cutting off the ad dollars is really the only way to snuuf out these socialist.

Tim Robbins calls it a chill wind

A chill wind is blowing from the South Pole. And it's not breast cancer she's suffering from...it's lip cancer.

If companies that put money up front for these stars get burned, they're going to find that they stop getting such lucrative contracts. May not hit them instantly, but will set in after a picture or two.

If not for the fact that Susan Sarin-gas had to go and run her mouth, the movie would have gotten some ratings. Same thing with Natalie Maines and the Chicks - if she hadn't decided to rag on the President during wartime, they would still be the sweethearts of country music instead of being hated, reviled, and boycotted.

Like Otter said during the trial scene in National Lampoon's Animal House, "I am NOT going to sit here, and listen to you, BAD-MOUTH, the United States of America! Gentlemen!"
