If you've listened to many of his interviews, he is just about pompous and arrogant enough to be french.

I don't fault him for that. I think we need a few brash people to shake things up once in a while. He has attitude and I like it. He lives for himself and makes no excuses. I guess it's my libertarian nature that admires that about him.

Agreed. I have listened to two of his radio interviews. The first was on a local station, and the entire interview got off track by Gene. Gene started talking about his many "affairs" with absolutly no shame and gave a well though out justification of the affairs. He then said that it is well documented that a prostitute followed Jesus and everyone knows that Jesus did have a sexual relationship with the prostitute.
Gene went on about how well educated he is in religious teaching, particularly Jewish teachings, and about how he does not do drugs. He came across very articulate and informed. He ran intelectual rings around the host who was no fool.
The second interview was on Howard Stern, and he just came off as an ego maniac. A few days later, Howard went on and on about how self absorbed Gene is.
Gene is not anyone's puppet and on this subject he is spot on. Gene is not your typical blathering star, he is an intellictual and you will always get a thought provoking statement from him on the issues.
BTW, I saw KISS live about 10 years ago and they were great. I made it up to the front of the main floor and was about 3 feet from Gene (he was above me on the catwalk performing.) He made eye contact with me and tossed me his guitar pic. I was just a little 15 year old girl about 110 lbs. As I reached up to grab the pic, about 20 huge guys jumped on top of me. They got the pic and I escaped with my life. LOL
