Rob Long: But the irony is for conservatives, they're always complaining about this sort of, ideologically, sort of, cast, I--you know whatever it is, brainwashing that they do. The ir--the irony is that the generation that grew up watching the sanitized, sort of, even, post code movies and TV of the '50's, they grew up to be--to riot in the streets in the '60's. And the generation that grew up on all that sort of liberally pious, insufferably political sitcoms of the '70's grew up to vote Reagan. A point I've often pondered, as in, if the 50s were so great, why were they followed by the 60s? I don't have an answer ready -- I've long been truly puzzled by this one. And looking on the bright side, are today's youngsters, raised on BJ Clinton, turning away from it? It seems like they are.
