Yes, I think that was the law, in fact about 15 years ago a woman that was I think 1/64 black in Lousiana tried to change the race on her birth certificate from black to white and she was not allowed to based on the law.

That definately would not happen today. Although I went to the hospital, the nurse insisted I had to put a race down. She put down black then she put down white, and got quite testy with me when I said my racial class is none of her small statured business.
