Former D.C. Mayor Marion Barry could be held in contempt of court for not cooperating in a suit involving a custodian.

Barry was ordered last year to pay $35,000 in damages to settle a lawsuit with Terrie Jenkins, who said Barry shoved her and exposed himself in a BWI airport bathroom in 2000.

The Baltimore Sun reports court documents show Barry hasn't paid the settlement money. A Baltimore Circuit Court judge has scheduled a hearing for next month to decide the matter.

In 2001, Barry was sentenced to a year's probation and community service for an assault charge stemming from the bathroom incident.

The ex-Mayor Marion "The B_tch Set Me Up" Barry should be a shoe-in for the next Wshington D.C. mayoral election after this. He was soundly elected after being caught on video smoking crack cocaine. You';ve got to love the D.C. voters, majority of whom are democRATs, of course.

Doesn't Barry have a current source of income that can be attached?

Kind of a no brainer, isn't it?

And...if this were any run of the mill W.A.S.P. Wouldn't we be in contempt of court and in the slammer?

This, my friends is what the voters elect...and it isn't just at the city/county level!

"Doesn't Barry have a current source of income that can be attached?"

When a recently released convicted felon re-offends and gets nothing but a year of probation and community service, you know he's being handled with kid gloves by the courts. If this had been you or me ignoring a court order for a year, there would already be garnishment, attachment and lien orders. If this had been you or me, reincarceration would be certain.

"Barry shoved her and exposed himself in a BWI airport bathroom in 2000."

He'll get reelected again. DC voters never show any good sense. However, gotta know: did Barry receive instructions from Jesse "Shakedown" Jackson or was it vice versa?

Berry is just keeping the tradition up along with Rodney King, the Fords of Memphis, O.J. Simpson, and Ole Jesse. They will all collectively likely win another award for citizenship and civic responsibility from the NAACP. If Barry had been white they would have put him in a jail cell long ago where they would have had to pump daylight to him.

Al "The Rev" Sharpton never personally paid his civil action award to Steve Pagones in the Tawana Brawley case, and he's now running for Pres. What does that tell you folks?

Barry is like a mini-Bill Clinton. He knows where all the bodies are buried, and he's got to be very well informed on DC's dark underbelly.
