The ban because of a Restraining order is out of order as well in some cases. I had an old man who use to shoot on my pistol team. I'd say he was in his late 70s and a real quiet nice man. Well when the ban came into effect his house was visited by the local boys in blue and his guns were confiscated. He had a 22 Browning Bull barrel Competition firearm and a backup competition Ruger MK II. He lost his guns for a restraining order that was put on him back in the early 60s by his wife who had PMS and was always calling the police on the poor guy. Mainly for comming home late for supper and she'd scream abuse and get him in trouble. He lived near by and I did witness it once way back. Before the ink was dry on the restraing order she would make up with him. I don't ever recall him out of the house honestly. But when this law came into effect he lost his only enjoyment in life to an antiquated restraining order. There should be a limitation on the age of a restraining order.
