As-Saliyah - A member of the Abu Nidal Organization, a Palestinian militant group which figures on the US list of terrorist organizations, has surrendered to US Marines in Baghdad, the US Central Command announced on Saturday.

"Khala Khadr al-Salahat, a member of the Abu Nidal terrorist organisation, surrendered to the Marines of First Marine Division in Baghdad April 18," Centcom said in a statement issued at its war headquarters in Qatar.

"As the Secretary of Defence (Donald Rumsfeld) said when he outlined the military objectives of Operation Iraqi Freedom, one of our key objectives is to search for, capture and drive out terrorists who have found safe haven in Iraq," the statement said without giving further details.

Also known as the Fatah Revolutionary Council, the Abu Nidal Organization is held responsible for a string of assassinations and plane hijacks as well as 1985 attacks on Rome and Vienna airports.

I'm not sure what's up but they're surrendering like the cows coming home. Did they hear we are offering bonuses?

"Why are we fighting in Iraq? What does that have to do with fighting terrorism?"

What I'd like to know is are we going to ship these guys off to Israel? Or are they part of the Oslo Peace Accord and can't be tried?

I'm sure the their battle cry is Remember Abu Nidal. Guess they don't want to be found having committed suicide with four bullets to the brain.

Perhaps having the choice of surrenduring to Marines or some elements of citizens in Iraq is having an impact.

I sure hope that they find in Iraq that there is one mastermind that controls all of the terrorist.

One big terror "pimp".

Sad, another reason for Little Tommy to be disappointed. He hates when they do that.

Kick over the rock and watch the roaches scurry....that's the picture that comes to mind when I hear about the terrorists in Baghdad.

But why would they surrender???? Because they're actually cowards who send out others on "suicide" attacks, but when it looks like it's their "turn" to die, they surrender rather than fight or be killed.

I get a laugh reading how the Arab street is "ashamed" by the fall of Baghdad. What do they think of the fact that their terrorist jihadists are surrendering?

I think they'll figure some way to rationalize all this eventually. And it won't be nice, I'm afraid.

My guess? If they end up in a US prison, they get airconditioning, 3 hots and a flop, TV, drugs and sex (yuck), plus, they will be revered by Calypso Louie's minions in the Big House.

In Iraq, they risk being torn apart by mobs of ticked off Iraqis for standing in the way of said Iraqis' liberation.

That is one nasty looking pie hole.

The so called looting of the Baghdad museum, the quagmire, not enought troops on ground in Ira, our starving marines, and the so called stand down by our military are just a few examples of these POS's coordinated their attacks on our President.

Just had to use Grampa Dave's quote on this thread.

Oh, I forgot, the other RAT theme song has been how damaging this Iraqi quagmire will be on "The War on Terror"

I ain't changing my tag line till we're done...and that may be awhile.

Isn't it amazing how these Islamofacist cowards either give themselves or surrender with firing a shot at our Marines or Infantry.

Their bravery has real limits. They will send some room temp IQ POS Islamkazi to commit suicide and kill innocent Israelis and others for as long as they live.

When their time comes, they crawl like cowards to surrender or give up with a fight.
