You make a good point. Skilled liars use more than just words.....they use a whole range of manipulative interpersonal behaviors to sway or intimidate their victims into believing. With a national audience, Scott lost a lot of his ammo.....eye contact, touching, facial expression, body language, etc. When lies are reduced to nothing more than words distributed by the national media, they become a lot harder to sell.

I REPEAT: You have no right to "know" anything. Live with it.

You can repeat it until hell freezes over. That won't make it right. Newspapers sue governments all the time to get at facts that are rightfully in the public domain. That's what an open and democratic justice system is all about.

Perhaps you prefer the Cuban system. Kangaroo court trial followed by a quick bullet.

They have become public figures. Just like the Smart family. BTW, when does the Smart movie come out.

Sort of like the "O. J. Simpson low-speed Ford Bronco chase" back in '94. People were actually sitting there glued to their TV screens watching that.

You know, I've always felt there was something seriously wrong with that incident. I mean, if I were in OJ's place, in the back of that slow-moving Bronco and holding a gun, I wouldn't have had the gun to my head.

I'd have had it to the driver's head, saying "how about we go a little faster, so they won't catch me?"

If I lost my other half, I'd be so miserable I think I wouldn't care if I were blamed for it or not. But of course, one never really knows how one would act.

Wasn't there a tarp found near the body? She was probably wrapped in a tarp which slowed down the natural damage that would otherwise have been done.

Newspapers sue governments all the time to get at facts ...

But not about criminal cases. The court can seal whatever it wants.

But the point is, that all this stuff will be coming out. It isn't necessary for you, or me, or anyone else not involved with this case to know the details as yet.

Don't worry; the new Harry Potter novel is coming out soon. You've waited patiently for that.

They're not "public figures," they're respectively crime victims and suspects.

You have no automatic right to the "details" of a crime prior to the trial.

Sorry, you'll just have to be content with Jerry Springer until Court TV can't get the dirt for ya.

NO, we don't need "due knowledge." Even though I think he's guilty, in this country we are innocent until proven guilty. If all the info on cases was bandied about, how, in the name of all that's right, would ANYONE get a fair jury trial? All the info cannot be leaked out all the time. The public does not have a "right to know."

Sure they are. Saw them on TV almost every night. There were newspaper stories written about them everyday. Very public. They don't have temple secret status anymore.

I hope this creep burns in hell if he's guilty and it appears he is but you can bet your booty slimy defense attorneys are going to bring all these questions up at the trial and I just feel if the DA had this case locked up the arrest would have already been done.

Ach!

For God's sake, man, get a grip!

This case is nothing remotely like the Cuban system, for crying out loud. The police have revealed a great deal and they are holding some cards close to their vests for the time being, not secret forever.

Good grief.

No need to be nasty, but I notice some like to roll in statements like that.....like pigs in mud.
